START HERE TO CURE YOUR PET'S BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS

A personal note to you from Dr Cam Day, Animal Behaviour Veterinarian.

So, you are concerned about your pet's behavioural problems! Rest assured - you are not alone!! More importantly you can start you solution very quickly by completing the Behaviour Assessment Form below .

While I am a veterinarian, I am firstly a pet owner and, in case you are wondering, - no, my pets are not perfect!!!

My wayward woofer, Widget, is a super-active Devil Dog that's undergoing rehabilitation - but she's so cute! My 10kg huge cat is a hairy dish-mop impersonator with attitude and can be a little aggressive, and my other two cats occasionally brawl with each other. That's life as a pet owner!!

As a full-time animal behaviour veterinarian, each year, I help hundreds of people to solve the behavioural difficulties they are experiencing with their pets and for your interest, a case analysis for dog (Table 1) and cat (Table 2) behavioural problems presented to my clinics appears below, each of which has started with a full assessment.

So, solving any behavioural problem with a pet involves three steps:-

  1. Assessing the behaviour to determine what is the true underlying cause of the malady. A formal diagnosis of the cause is then made.

  2. Implementing the therapy that is appropriate for this pet with the malady that has been diagnosed via the assessment.

  3. Following up after the consultation to ensure the problem is being solved.

Effective therapy cannot be implemented unless a full assessment is done first and you can take the first step with your pet's assessment using the Behaviour Assessment form below.

After you click submit, you will be directed to additional information to help you with your pet's behaviour.

We will receive your form submission and will contact you to discuss solutions that are the best fit for the problem you have.
