Dogs, Cats People and Horses all Benefit from Animal Massage!

A Weekend Course on Therapeutic Massage for Dogs and Cats

with Dr Elaine Cebuliak and Dr Kathy Cornack

Who Should Attend This Course?

This course is an intensive training weekend on therapeutic massage for pets and is ideally suited to dedicated pet owners, vet students, and vet nurses.

What is the Purpose of This Course?

Therapeutic massage is more than "patting your pet! Massage can be exceptionally useful for calming pets, and for pets with behaviour problems.

It is a useful tool for the examination process, and helps veterinary consultations to be much more relaxed for both the vet and the pet.

Therapeutic massage is an excellent means of rehabilitating an animal following cruciate, spinal, abdominal or any orthopaedic surgical procedure.

Massage has great therapeutic benefits for allergic skin disease, immune system dysfunction and geriatric arthritis. So the purpose of this two-day course is to teach you techniques which will increase your sensitivity to understand, manage, relate to, and calm your pet at home, or your patients in the veterinary setting.

"Animal Wellness" Massage courses are a holistic blend of:-

  • Remedial massage
  • Cross fibre mobilisation
  • Advanced deep tissue massage
  • Shiatsu/Tui Na (Chinese acupressure massage)
  • Myofunctional physical therapies

Becoming skilled in pet massage will make you more attuned to picking up subtle changes in your patient or your pet. Massage provides you with the feedback you need to enable and enhance your ongoing physical therapies with your patients or pets and to promote the pet's mobility.
